Web designers, students, entrepreneurs and those wanting to work from home as a web designer are invited to attend this online, one-week training session.
During this week, you will learn to:
- Register a domain name,
- Secure a web host,
- Install a Joomla CMS template,
- Customize the site with your colors, logo, graphics and content,
- Install custom modules to help your business,
- Implement basic Search Engine Optimization,
- Promote your site to the major search engines.
Domain name registration and one year of web hosting is included in the price of the class.
You will also receive:
- 12-hr daily access to your instructor via email and telephone,
- Opportunity to attend up to 4 additional online sessions:
- Advanced Joomla - Integrating add-ons such as image galleries, polls and directories,
- Social Media - Promoting Your Business Online,
- Advanced Joomla - Installing and implementing content access control by user,
- Open Q&A about web design, development, social media or starting a business,
- Domain name registration,
- One year of web hosting,
- Special offers upon class completion for discounted graphic design on logos, business cards and Twitter backgrounds.
You will meet with your instructor, a professional developer, online for two hours each day to receive one-on-one instruction and discuss the tasks for that day. Schedules are fairly flexible. If you need to adjust your online call time, you may contact your instructor and arrange a more convenient time. Attendees will complete the tasks for each day each evening. All attendees will have access to an instructor via email or telephone from 8am CST - 8pm CST throughout the week!
This training session is fast-paced and recommended for those with a basic understanding of computers, internet usage, and website terminology. The session is not intended to be stressful! It is our goal to teach attendees the basics required to create effective websites using Joomla CMS - and have fun doing it!

This course costs a fraction of having a new site developed and leaves you with the skills needed to create professional, attractive, Joomla-powered sites. In addition, you will have a completed web site by the end of the week.
